Child Labour Monitoring and Remediation Systems have scaled dramatically in Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana, but researchers warn coverage is not the same as elimination.

Industry data shows CLMRS coverage of the Ivorian and Ghanaian cocoa supply has risen from 20% in 2020 to roughly 80% today, with over 1.6 million children identified and supported through schooling and household income interventions.

Independent evaluators caution that monitoring finds cases faster than remediation resolves them, and call for living-income pricing to address the poverty that drives child labour in the first place.
