Survivor-led design becomes benchmark for corporate remediation programmes

Companies are bringing survivors of forced labour into remediation programme design, and early evidence suggests outcomes improve when lived experience shapes remedy.
A growing group of multinationals now contracts survivor-led organisations to co-design remediation: deciding how repayments are delivered, what reintegration support looks like and how affected workers are protected from retaliation.
Early evaluations show survivor-designed programmes achieve higher uptake of remedy and lower re-trafficking rates than corporate-designed equivalents, prompting industry bodies to update remediation guidance.
