CBP begins detaining goods at distribution rather than only at ports of entry, and adds importers of record to a public non-compliance register.

US Customs has extended UFLPA enforcement beyond first-arrival ports, detaining goods already in domestic distribution when new evidence links them to sanctioned suppliers — and publishing importer names for repeated violations.

Trade counsel advise that downstream buyers can no longer rely on their importers' due diligence, as liability and reputational exposure now travel with the goods.
