Worker-voice platforms reach two million workers across Southeast Asian factories

Anonymous grievance and survey channels now cover a fifth of export-oriented garment workers in the region, giving brands earlier warning of labour abuses than audits alone.
A coalition of worker-voice technology providers announced their platforms now reach more than two million workers in Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia and Bangladesh. Brands using the channels report detecting recruitment fee and passport retention issues months before scheduled audits would have surfaced them.
Researchers caution that reach is not the same as remedy: only a third of grievances logged last year resulted in documented corrective action, underlining the need for closed-loop remediation tracking.
